This treatment is recommended before all chemical services in order to achieve maximum results with your salon service. Your hair stylist will evaluate your hair before performing this treatment and discuss the appropriate steps that should be taken to prep the hair before any service. This treatment can take up to thirty-five minutes.
Minerals and chemicals can build up on the hair from exposure to tap water, hard water, well water, chlorine and many other environmental elements that effect every day hair. This barrier creates an undesirable color in the hair that can effect color services or just every day natural looking hair color.

The Demineralizing Treatment Process
Vitamin crystals are applied to wet hair that is activated by a formulation to naturally draw unwanted mineral deposits, chlorine and other impurities from the hair and scalp that prevent it from performing at its peak. This treatment can be processed under steam, if necessary. You may need more than one treatment depending on the desired results.
How Long Will It Last
It really depends on what your hair is exposed to on a daily basis. If you have hard water or you are a swimmer, you may find it helpful to use a clarifying shampoo.
If you have hard water, exposure to chlorine (swimmers), you may find it helpful to use a clarifying shampoo to help minimize the build up.
The average person should clarify their hair 1-2 times per month. Depending on amount of hair, you may use a nickel size or quarter size of clarifying shampoo and massage for approximately sixty seconds. The hair may not lather and that is fine, but rinse very well.
