Highlight / Low Lighting Techniques

This technique gives dimensional colors throughout the hair providing you with a natural to bold look depending on your request.
Highlighting: A process that achieves a desired lighter level.
Lowlighting: A process that achieves a desired deeper level.

Balayage is a French word meaning “to sweep”. And that’s just what colorists do to the hair. Using a thick brush the stylist sweeps bleach with a free hand onto random sections the hair. The color is applied by hand rather than wrapping it in foils or hair caps. This can be done on hair of all lengths of hair from short crops to long manes, but we think the sun-kissed beauty of Balayage Ombre looks best on longer lengths.

Ombre is a fashion color technique that can appear to make you look natural and sophisticated or more edgy depending on your desired color level. There are two different types of ombre: the traditional ombre which appears lighter on the tips of the hair while the base stays with a more natural tone or second would be the reverse ombre which gives you the effect of lighter roots with darker ends.
